Why they called us.
Mohammed's kitchen needed more than new doors on old carcasses — the room needed resetting. The strip-out took it back to brickwork in places, which meant the walls could be properly re-plastered before a single unit went in.
The spec: full strip-out, first-fix framing where the old layout was changing, fresh plaster throughout, then new grey units, worktop and extractor.
The number Mohammed cared about most was the one on the quote. £4,500 agreed, £4,500 paid — and since the water was already isolated for the sink, we fitted an outside tap while we were at it. No charge.
What we did.
Four days, brick to finished kitchen:
- Full strip-out — units, worktops and wall coverings out, back to brickwork where needed
- First-fix framing for the revised layout
- Walls re-plastered throughout
- New grey fitted units installed and levelled
- New worktop and extractor fitted
- Oven and appliances installed and connected
- Outside tap plumbed in — complimentary
- Second fix, sealant, clean-down and handover
On time, and to the penny.
“On time and exactly the price agreed. Even fit an outside tap complimentary. I have and will keep recommending. 5 stars.”Mohammed · Preston · Google review

For the discerning homeowner.
What we actually built into this project.
Back to brick where it mattered
Parts of the old kitchen were hiding tired walls. Rather than box over them, the strip-out went back to brickwork and the room was re-plastered — so the new units sit on true, sound walls and the finish stays crisp.
Plaster first, units second
Plastering before fitting (not around fitted units) is slower to schedule but gives clean lines everywhere — including inside cupboards and behind kick-boards where corner-cutting usually hides.
The price agreed is the price paid
Mohammed's review says it plainly: exactly the price agreed. Fixed written quotes are how every Wolsten job runs — the outside tap went in as a courtesy because the supply was already isolated, not as a line item.
Three founders. No subcontractors.
Liam, Ryan and Paul on every job.

Liam
Led the project from survey to handover, and covered every electrical requirement in-house — certified, no third-party spark.

Ryan
Time-served bricklayer. Ran the structural and preparation stages that decide how good the finish can be.

Paul
Every cut, fit and finish on the joinery side — done on site, made to fit this house rather than the average one.

Preston's terraces are solid houses that reward proper renovation — and their kitchens are usually the room that dates first. A strip-out-to-brick refit like this one is the honest way to reset a terrace kitchen for the next twenty years.

Questions homeowners ask about projects like this.
How much does a full kitchen installation cost in Preston?
This full refit — strip-out to brick, re-plaster, new units, worktop and extractor — came in at £4,500 fixed. Around Preston, most full kitchen refits we quote land between £4,000 and £8,500. The quote is itemised and fixed before we start.
How long does a kitchen strip-out and refit take?
Four days here, including plastering. Where walls need taking back to brick, allow 4–7 days; we sequence plastering drying time so the fit isn't rushed onto wet walls.
Do you really charge exactly what you quote?
Yes. The quote is fixed and in writing before we start. If we find something unexpected mid-job we tell you before touching it — surprises on the final bill aren't how we work, which is why the reviews keep mentioning it.
Can you add extras like an outside tap during a kitchen refit?
Often, yes — while services are isolated it's an efficient time for small additions. Mention anything like this at the survey and we'll build it into the quote (or, occasionally, throw it in).
